Dustforce is a game that will make you feel cool and great but with hard work to really get the feeling of the game. You will play as a street sweeper whose job is to well... sweep the streets of course. Hell Yeah!. To start sweeping the dirts and dusts that scattered on the roads, you simply walk through it, and the character will automatically clean it.
Sounds plain, but this where fun begins. The place should you have a platform broom and an unusual shape, so most of the time will you spend on jumping, running vertically up the wall, eventually down a steep hill, to climb by jumping between two narrow walls like a ninja. Dustforce is arguably a combination of Prince of Persia, Jackie Chan, Parkour and hygiene kits. It may sound random but the more often you play the more you will agree with me. And you will be grateful for read what I wrote.
Well now here comes the most important part of enjoying this game : That is a control, baby!
In addition to just walk you could also jump and hit the enemy with a broom and gallop for a while (dash). You have to combine all these simple tricks to conquer a level. The circumstances and the exact timing will be good friends with you to complete the level perfectly. Fortunately controlling the character with the PS3 controller feels natural and accurate, it does help though, but controlling the character perfectly still require frequent exercise.
Each level will be done if you have reached the last area and defeat the monsters that were there. Ease is no necessity to defeat all the monsters or a percentage sweeping dust, if you just want to run to the last area of the level and defeat the monsters will be completed. But of course this will affect the assessment at the end of the level, because you will be measured based on the time and also the level of cleanliness.
Interestingly this is the second assessment is done separately and usually does the opposite, so if you want a clean sweep with all the time usually required to be very long and vice versa. But this doesn't mean that getting a perfect score (denoted by S) for these two categories is almost impossible.
Owned Dustforce level design is fairly good, full of challenges and managed to make the players do not feel a monotonous groove. You will be invited continually looking for ways to complete a level faster and optimized. The first time you may look stupid in completing a level but after studying the levels and also familiar with the controls and you will act like a professional.
In terms of the presentation of Dustforce is fairly simple but quality. I say simple because it doesn't have Dustforce detail and use of color a lot . But it almost doesn't affect his playing experience at all let alone with relaxing music playing for the umpteenth time we try to achieve the best assessment.
Dustfoce provides replay and online leaderboard system and personally this feature really enriches the experience of playing. Let's say you're stuck in a level and you see enough footage of other people who have completed the level. Initially I use this feature to see if anyone else is able to finish a level faster than me because I feel pretty great, but what I found very surprising. I am completing a level within 35 seconds, but the best time is uploaded to the server is 11 seconds. When looking at the replay of the other players I was amazed and also learn new techniques useful.
Almost none of Dustforce disappointing , but it feels a little explanation given less. For example, when you play you can choose 4 different characters, but the explanation given is minimal and hide in the help section. So you have to melt the difference yourself by playing or seeing someone else play.
I find it quite fun for plays Dustforce, but I must remind you that Dustforce beauty lies in the attempt to finish this level is perfect and this means repeating the level until you are good at it. If you are the type of players who do not like the reps or grinding it will taste a little bland Dustforce. But if this is what you are looking for then the price of $9.99 Dustforce is a game that will satisfy the desires of a perfectionist you are.
